Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh (HIAL) was awarded the first prize for its “Passive Solar Heated (PSH) Buildings” under the buildings category in the first National Energy Efficiency Innovation Awards on 14th December 2021 from the chief guest Shri R.K Singh Union Minister of Power and MNRE.

The function was organized to celebrate National Energy Conservation Day by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, GoI at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
