Group of The Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre (LSRC) visited HIAL
A group of Army pre-pensioners from The Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre (LSRC) visited the Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh, as a part of their discharge drill program. It was an honor to have the soldiers, who have dedicated their lives to the service of the nation, visit our campus at Phyang. During their visit, we had the opportunity to share our vision and mission with them, giving them a better understanding of the work we do here. To help them fully appreciate the work we do, Mr. Stanzin Gonbo, our EA to Founding Director gave them a full tour of the campus. Following the tour, Mr. Phuntsog Namgail, our Senior Site Supervisor, gave a detailed presentation about various initiatives taken up by HIAL. One of the highlights of his presentation was Passive Solar Heated buildings and the techniques used to construct them. The soldiers were deeply engaged in the discussion and had a detailed conversation on the various Solar Passive buildings at HIAL. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed having the soldiers visit our campus, and it was a great opportunity for us to share our work with them.
